ABOUT BRANDON

Brandon boxing fitness trainer wakefield

Brandon Montella is no stranger to pushing the limits.

A former Marine, professional boxer, and lifelong athlete,
he's built his life around one belief:
"Every goal has a way."

During his four years in the Marine Corps, Brandon rose quickly through the ranks, earning Honor Graduate in bootcamp and making Sergeant in under three years. After leaving the military, he climbed the corporate ladder with the same drive, but something was missing. The pull to challenge himself physically while helping others transform their lives became impossible to ignore.

So, he bet on himself. Brandon left a successful sales career, cashed in his savings, earned his ACE Personal Training certification, and stepped into the boxing ring for the very first time at 31 years old. Less than a year later, he won three straight tournaments, including the title of New England Golden Gloves Heavyweight Champion.

At 34, he turned professional, retiring undefeated at 9–0 with 8 knockouts and a U.S. ranking.

While competing, Brandon and his wife opened a boxing and fitness gym in Woburn, which they ran for a decade while raising their son. Over the years, he’s trained everyone from everyday people looking to get fit to amateurs who went on to win Golden Gloves and professionals who fought on ESPN under Top Rank Promotions. His specialty: boxing fitness, obstacle course racing, and teaching the “sweet science” to anyone, whether they want to compete or simply grow stronger.

Beyond the ring, Brandon has 14+ years of experience as a certified personal trainer and has completed some of the nation’s toughest obstacle course races, and ran ultramarathons of his own. He often trains for and races alongside his clients, showing them firsthand what it means to dig deep and push through.

At his core, Brandon is a family man and community leader. He’s a dedicated husband, a proud father, and the Executive Director of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting youth and veterans. His personal motto says it best:

“Together, we are limitless.”
